1. Why This Page Exists

Reloways shows faces. Profile photos appear next to posts, comments and guides so the community can recognise each other, and members can upload photos from events. In Germany, publishing a recognisable image of a person is governed by the Art Copyright Act (KUG, §§22-23) in addition to the GDPR. This page says how we handle that, and how to get an image taken down.

2. Your Profile Photo
  • If you sign up with Google, we store a copy of your Google profile photo on our servers. It is shown on your public profile and next to content you publish.
  • You can replace or remove it at any time in account settings. Removing it also deletes our stored copy.
  • Your photo is never used in advertising, and never sold.
3. Photos From Events and Meetups
  • Members can upload photos from community events. The person uploading is responsible for having the right to share that image, including the agreement of recognisable people in it.
  • Do not upload photos of children, or photos taken in a private setting, without the agreement of the people concerned or their guardian.
  • At events organised by someone else, photography is that organiser's responsibility, not ours.
4. How to Get a Photo Removed

Email amir@reloways.com with a link to the page and a description of the image. You do not have to explain why. We do not ask you to justify the request.

  • We aim to remove or hide the image within 72 hours of your request.
  • If the image is on a site or channel we do not control, we will tell you and, where we can, point you to whoever published it.
